just another annoying blog post.
Last weekend (5th of April 2014) my family and i went to a ferry trip to Wanau Island which is up north, maybe like an hour and a half drive away from Auckland. My weekend was something unusual because we dont really have a lot of family trips because half of us is busy from work, especially me because I dont have a fixed roster at work. It was kind of a birthday getaway for my sister as she turns 22 this week and yeah, it just sort of happen that theres was a sale to which my dad bought tickets straight away. The 2 hour ferry trip around the island was fascinating but i was kind of hoping to see some dolphins, as advertised, but there was none. When we go to the mansion house bay, my family and i had lunch and we hiked the island for an hour. It was kind of scary yet exciting because im not really an outdoor junky but I love the peacefulness and the adrenaline when we were walking on the cliff side. After that, we went inside the mansion house and tbh that was legit scary and I had goosebumps when I went inside one of the rooms. The mansion actually reminded me of the house in the conjuring which actually scared the crap out of me.
Anyways, we left the island around 4.30 and got back to Sandspit around 5.
After our ferry trip, my parents decided to have dinner out at TomTom which is a bar and eatery in Ponsonby. Im so lucky I picked the right outfit to wear otherwise, I would look like a fob in the restaurant. lol so heres what I wore :)

So glad i picked this outfit. Even though its not really a hiking outfit, mayn, Im telling you, I didnt feel hot at all.
